383 Adelaide Street Lofts: Toronto Condo Lofts
Liberty Lofts is a condominium that was originally two warehouses; a beam and brick post turn of the century structure and a mushroom concrete column building from the 1920's before it became the Gillette Razor factory. By the 1990's, it was vacant and demanded repairs. That's when the Core Architects restored it's magnificence. The interior courtyard was preserved with a new skylit atrium and an elevator with a window peering into open space rises through it.
Ten two-level, two bedroom penthouses with decks and parking are housed, along with 36 one bedroom units. Lofts are brick or wood on concrete with ceiling heights from 11 to 13 feet, and sizes vary from 585 sq. ft. to the larger 1360 sq. ft. With prices beginning about $325 per sq. ft., Liberty Lofts has become quite popular.
