Can I Assign my Condo NOW?
It depends. When purchasing pre-construction, different builders use their own set of contracts. You will need to ensure that an ASSIGNMENT CLAUSE is included in yours. There is normally a fee that builders charge for this assignment option (in the range of $2500-$5000) and it is granted upon builder consent (which cannot be reasonable withheld).
Some Assignment clauses state when you are able to assign your condo depending on the stage of development. Some may not allow you to assign at all. In order to be sure, please contact us and we can discuss your particular situation. We would love to help you sell your assignment!
